French Hotel

Well, today we went downtown (Chicago) because my dad had a business dinner with executives from France. We decided to stay the night at the hotel that the dinner was at because the event wasn't going to be over until after midnight, so my sister and I stayed upstairs in the room while my parents were at dinner. The hotel they had chosen was called Sofetel, a massive 42 floor complex at water tower, right downtown. It was a french hotel. Everything was in french, and everyone spoke french. Even the security guard outside boasted a thick french accent. It was amazing, I have never seen a hotel so devoted to a language/country in the middle of the US. Anyway, everything was so over-the-top European it scared me! Anyway, we arrived late to the party, so my sister and I ordered room service. It cam on a silver platter, with those fancy dish tops, and perrier along with our ordered beverages. The waiter was wearing a fancy dress, and they even checked in when we were done to take the plate away and offer the dessert menu. It was kind of creepy, especially with her french accent and the bonapatete. Anyway, my birthday's on wednesday, see who remembers!
