School finally found, but NO AC!?
A lot has been going on lately as far as the move has been concerned. We are finally home after a week long trip to Chicago, but this will be the last week here until we leave next monday (the 15th) with a one way ticket to our new home in Saint Charles. We did finally did get a chance to enroll in schools, which means placement tests for me, and school lunch-in's of course. I will be attending Wreddling Middle School this 8th grade year, and then I will be forced to change schools in high school. I did notice on the tour of the school, that the indoor temperature seemed to be higher than the outdoor temperature, which was like 90 degrees. My mom later explained that most IL schools are too cheap to put in air conditioning, and many times schools days are cut short, on what are called heat schedules, to accommodate the indoor temp. I was shocked!! I did do well in placement tests though, and I will be taking honors geometry in math, which is twice advanced at their school and only once advanced at blake since they don't offer Algebra 2 'till high school. Also another thing I thought was weird was that Wreddling only offers Spanish as a foreign language, and they only offer level one to eight graders. This means I will be taking art and music 5 times a week instead of starting spanish over. Weird right? But despite all that, I am glad things are finally taking shape, which offers some much needed stability.

ReplyDeleteMost public schools don't have ac Deniz... Lol, yes, that is your job :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you found a new school, Fernando. And Zarek, I know you have found one to. That's too bad that you have to go to another school starting in 9th grade.
ReplyDeleteIt's ok though because everyone in the district has to.
